Karim Slate
Airline Transport Pilot, CFI
Karim has over 39 years experience in helicopter operations, to include: IFR, SAR, NVG, Long-line construction, Powerline, Firefighting, Pilot Training, Chief Pilot, and United Nations Peacekeeping Missions. He graduated from U. S. Army Flight School (class 71-17), Served in Viet Nam and has since flown over 16,000 hours in the following types: Bell 204/205/206/212/412/214ST/407, Eurocopter 350/355, BO-105, Augusta 119, MD-500, and Sikorsky 58T.
Karim currently works for the Orange County Fire Authority as the Check Airman and Training Pilot, flying Bell 412EPs and UH-1H Super Hueys. In addition, he also works part time as a construction and powerline pilot in Southern California flying the S-58T and MD-500.
